The NHL trade deadline is less than four days away. Teams will be gearing up for the Stanley Cup Playoffs and some teams will be gearing towards selling mode. In order to win championships in the NHL, your team has to have goaltending.
If teams don’t have a goalie, they don’t have any shot to win the Stanley Cup Title no matter how good or bad your offense and defense are. The NHL lines are out for the 2022 Vezina Trophy winner. Who has the potential odds to walk away with that trophy this year?

Igor Shesterkin -450
Shesterkin is the heavy Vegas favorite to win the Vezina Trophy this season. He has the New York Rangers in a playoff spot. Some people think he could potentially be a finalist for the Hart Trophy this season.
Igor Shesterkin would have this team as an NHL Lottery team if he wasn’t playing a lot. Alexander Georgiev has not been the ideal backup goalie for New York so far this season. Shesterkin has appeared in 39 games so far this season. His record is 29-7-3 with a .938 save percentage and a 2.07 GAA, along with three shutouts. Shesterkin can carry his team far into the Stanley Cup Playoffs and potentially steal some playoff series.
Jacob Markstrom +700
Jacob Markstrom has the Calgary Flames in a prime position to make a deep postseason run this year because they have received elite goaltending from him. Markstrom is always a threat to take over a game and potentially shut teams out. He has been the one thing this hockey team has been missing over the years, elite goaltending.
Markstrom is probably not going to win the award this year, but he is going to be a finalist for the Vezina Trophy Award. In 47 games played so far this season, Jacob Markstrom’s record is 29-11-6. He has a .927 save percentage and a 2.09 GAA, along with nine shutouts. Markstrom can steal a series or two in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Andrei Vasilevskiy +1200
Some people believe that he is the best goalie in the world after winning back-to-back Stanley Cup Titles last season and the Conn Smythe Trophy. Andrei Vasilevskiy is still one of the best at what he does and could probably win the award every single year if he wanted to. That is how good he is.
However, Vasilevskiy will most likely also be a finalist for this award, but will probably not win it. The only first-place vote he might get this year is by the Tampa Bay Lightning beat writers. He has played in 47 games so far this season. Andrei Vasilevskiy’s record so far this season is 32-11-4 with a .919 save percentage and a 2.37 GAA, along with two shutouts. He always can steal a playoff series.
Juuse Saros +2500
Saros has the fourth-best odds to win the Vezina Trophy this year. He has filled in nicely for Pekka Rinne ever since he retired. Juuse Saros has led the Nashville Predators into a potential spot in the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Saros has the potential to steal a series or two this year.
Nashville was supposed to be a rebuilding hockey team this year, but they are very competitive. The Predators would be nothing without Saros this year. He has played in 50 games so far this season for Nashville. Juuse Saros’s record so far this season is 29-18-3 with a .924 save percentage and a 2.41 GAA, along with three shutouts.
Sergei Bobrovsky +2800
Bobrovsky has the Florida Panthers as a number one seed right now in the Atlantic Division. Sergei Bobrovsky has won the Vezina Trophy a couple of times before, but he doesn’t have the capability to steal playoff series anymore.
Sergei Bobrovsky has played in 41 games so far this season for the Florida Panthers. His record is 30-6-3 with a .917 save percentage and a 2.57 GAA, along with two shutouts.
