Enjoy the top 25 snapshots from the 2023 British Wildlife Photography Awards! Charlie Page snagged the grand prize with his thought-provoking piece, “A Glimpse of Tomorrow.”
In Charlie’s captivating shot, a red fox saunters through a razed forest that’s been cleared for an upcoming industrial park. Charlie shares, “I knew foxes roamed this area, so I aimed to capture one against the industrial scene, highlighting the destruction of the woodland they call home.” He hopes that future shutterbugs won’t encounter such heartrending sights.
Will Nicholls, the BWPA’s Head Honcho, remarks, “This year’s gifted photogs have gifted us an incredible peek into the wild world of Britain.” It’s a crucial nudge, reminding us to cherish and safeguard the UK’s remaining wilderness and its critters.
