Love is claimed to move mountains, but a California couple has shown that it can also climb them. Ashley Schmeider and James Sisson thought that a traditional wedding wouldn’t suit them, so they married on Mount Everest instead. Their wedding images, as you can expect, are monumentally epic.
Ashley, 32, and James, 35, spent a year preparing and training for the journey, and when they arrived in Nepal in early March, it was no stroll in the park. It lasted them three weeks to reach the 17,000-foot-high Base Camp Everest, accompanied by their photographer, Charleton Churchill, where they ultimately uttered their vows after enduring heavy snow, severe temperatures, and altitude sickness together. Churchill’s unorthodox ceremony images reveal a stunning combination of rich blue, pristine white, and craggy stone.
