Tara Jane Langston a 39- year old woman from London is positive for COVID-19 and is currently being treated at the intensive care unit, Hillingdon Hospital. She recently recorded an informative yet touching video of her experience at the hospital, which is an eye-opener for youngsters as the disease can a huge effect on the youth as well.
The video, which Jane decided to record, warns teens how to be precautious and to stay healthy amidst the pathetic situation of the ongoing virus. The video is a sad sight of Langston, breathing through a tube as she coughs with another set of tubes strapped to her arm.
She goes on to say how no one should take chances and play around as this is not a game and how she can’t breathe without the tubes which have been strapped to her. She then says she’s much better now though her recovery is slow. Jane feels like she has lost count of the days she’s been at the hospital.
Jane warns the youngsters about smoking and how bad it affects the system. She then mentions not to take any chances as they will probably end up in the hospital.
Langston spoke to Daily Mail after her video went viral. She mentioned that after she was tested positive and became weak and her intention was to warn the others especially the youth about the cons of the virus.
The experience of having this virus was really painful and sickening and wishes that no one should go through this kind of agony.
Jane who 39 and a mother of two, had always kept a healthy and balanced lifestyle by going to the gym and eating clean. After getting originally diagnosed with a chest infection she was given ibuprofen and paracetamol and later on, when she was getting worse she was tested positive for coronavirus at the hospital.
When she was first taken to into the ICU Jane was sedated and was put in isolation as she had affected heavily.
She was fortunate to be awake and she was given six liters of oxygen and currently improving with one liter.
Most of the patients around her were quite old but her main intention of making the clip was to alert the youngsters about the deadly virus and how amazingly dedicated the hospital staff was.
Some people had accused Jane of the video, according to The Guardian. The site later confirmed the fact that Jane was positive of COVID-19 and is being treated at the ICU in, Hillingdon Hospital.
As the results for the virus goes higher daily and death rates pelting higher day by day, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci warns the youth to be cautious about this deadly disease.
Fauci goes on to tell that even many of the cases have been elderly people as their immune system is quite weak but that doesn’t mean that young people cant contact the deadly virus, they are too, exposed to the virus.
The UK currently has around 2700 confirmed cases of COVID-19 along with 137 deaths.
Protect yourself and others from getting sick, remember to wash your hands at all times. Maintain at least 1-meter distance between yourself and anyone who’s coughing or sneezing. Social Distancing is an effective tool in containment. Any person showing symptoms of COVID-19 should seek immediate medical attention.
