Racism against people of Asian origins are now on the uprise in America. During this dark time, Diplomat and Congressman Andy Kim From New Jersey had to face a very heartbreaking situation when his 5-year-old son got bullied in school by other kids. They called him ‘Chinese’ as they bullied him and Kim had to explain to his son what racism was.
Kim’s son was bullied by a kid elder to him and when Kim tried to explain the other kid’s behavior, Kim’s son laughed as he did not see such an issue to divide people in the society. But it was a true nightmare for Kim, with his status being an American citizen, his son had to welcome the concept of racism at a very young age to his life. In the Post, he addressed that he is also aware of the racism issue that the African American goes through too. But sadly, the hate towards Asian stereotypes is also done by them. He addressed that the issues of racism should be eliminated together since the world and different types of people have suffered severely in the hands of racism.
