Dogs have long been known as “man’s best friend”. Dogs are also one of the most popular pets. Although dog rearing can be tiresome sometimes, it is the sole responsibility of the owner to attend to their pets’ needs. If the owner is unable to take proper care of the pet, it’s the owner’s responsibility to make sure to find a good home for the pet or to at least leave it in the care of an animal shelter. Disowning and abandoning the pets and leaving them helpless is the worst thing a person can do.
This was the case of Marvella, a lab-mixed puppy found in Yoctangee Park, Ohio. It wasn’t very hard to figure out that the dog was disowned and left behind. The sight left the rescuers heartbroken.

She had marker writings all over her. On the side, it said “Free dog”. “Good home only” was written on the poor fellow’s face. And on the backside, it said: “I am a gift from God”. Practically speaking, it was on a whole new level of low life. It was a miracle that she survived the prolonged heat exposure.
The initial inhumane owner was later found and charged for cruelty witnessed. She said that she tried to look for shelter and it came out to be an unsuccessful attempt. People doubted her story because Ross County is the only shelter in the area, and they have no record of the owner reaching out to them with the dog.
At the end, it was a happy ending for the dog because many people offered to adopt the dog and a pressure washing company even volunteered to cover her adoption fees.

It was all thanks to the rescuers that she found a nice home.
