More Info & Image Credit: Yves AdamsThe Wildlife photographer was Yves Adams, he is a photographer and an expedition guide. He stumbled across a peculiar creature on one of his expeditions in the Southern Atlantic; a ‘Yellow Penguin’!
The Belgian photographer was amazed by this sighting and managed to get proper pictures of this animal. It was with its colony of other penguins over 100,000 in numbers, but this was the only Yellow penguin there was.
Yves checked this strange sighting on his arrival and found out that this is a rare pigment mutation. It is known as ‘Leucism’ and it is so rare that only 1 in 20,000 – 14,000 gets this mutation. This is the first time that a ‘Yellow penguin’ was caught properly on camera.
