Nicole Dextras, a British-Colombia base artist create amazing installations giving them a frozen look. And she has made an amazing Bouquet using a set of frozen vintage dresses. This creation of her exhibits her interest that she had to reimagine things and it is a fiction and fanciful folklore-inspired creation. She had used only a bottle filled with water and Alberta’s freezing temperatures. And clothes from the years of 1940s and 1950s were used by her in this fabulous creation. There were around dresses that 15 were used. The fabric of the garments had to be frozen well in several days. After the dresses were well frozen in ice, she had made the installation with beautiful colors and the fine details that are found in nature. After making a successful splash it had ended within several days. This talented artist had said to My Modern Met that this was made to look like a fantastic plant brought from the underworld. Also had warned saying that it is bit much like a ‘Venus’ flytrap rather than a valentine’s feeling. It is really wonderful how an artist’s creativity and the nature’s process of freezing create such wonderful art.
