Not all heroes wear capes. Some are just ordinary humans like you and me. However, they can sometimes have an extraordinary impact on another life.
Meet Rico Soegiarto who managed to change an abandoned dog’s life around. Rico found the neglected dog on the streets of Bali, Indonesia, and the poor dog was close to death. Weak and malnourished, it was quite difficult to even recognize the breed of the abandoned dog. Rico was immediately drawn towards the dog and just knew that he had to help her out.
With her bones sticking out and her skin was covered in sores, the dog was in pretty bad shape. However, Rico took it into his own hands to groom the animal by washing and trimming its fur, feeding it properly and taking him to the vet regularly.
The dog, suitably named Hope by her new owner since she managed to survive and pull through, turned out to be a husky with dazzling blue eyes.
10 months later, with the love and nursing she received, Hope changed back into the beautiful husky she is. She is now living happily with her new owner Rico who states that she loves to be petted and that her favorite snacks are cookies.
