The sidewalk is something that is used by almost everybody on a daily basis. Thousands of people get to their destination walking on them. Even though we put the effort into making our homes, clothes, and vehicles more attractive all the time, the sidewalk that a lot of people use are mostly left neglected.

But, during the recent pandemic, a very creative artist followed his imagination to create an artistic addition to the sidewalks. David Zinn, the artist behind this project started drawing art on sidewalks that interact with its location and create a sort of a 3D optical illusion. This artwork has been created using very adorable characters by using chalk, they are seen appear repetitively in his art on the sidewalk. He uses sidewalks with cracks, overgrown grass, and simply the places that he feels neglected the most. David does this so that he can give life and decorate to give away happiness to everyone who passes by. So we got his story and a set of samples of his art for you below, scroll down to check it out.

You will find a pig, rodents, and even an alien who are being featured more often in his art. By this, he wants the people who walk by to spot a familiar face in different places on the sidewalk and wear a smile on their face.

Even if this global pandemic is generally a bad thing for the entire world, David has explained to My Modern Met that he used his time by himself to be productive and creative. So, he is thankful for this break that made him initiate such a project like this.
