Barbara Franc is a London-based artist who used scrap metal and abandoned things to create beautiful animal sculptures. The artist claims that the shapes and sculptural forms of animals have always captivated her and that they are a never-ending source of inspiration for her.
Barbara employs wire and other materials to mimic sketching in three dimensions to convey the impression of movement and presence in her sculpture. “This gives me more flexibility to make modifications anytime I want throughout the building process to maintain the sensation flowing and represent the variety of movement and shape,” the artist adds.

Barbara says she appreciates the challenge of changing something with history into something fresh and intriguing. Thus she employs salvaged and abandoned materials.
19th-century animal engravings, domesticated animals, racing animal movement, and both organic and inorganic skeleton systems are some of the things that excite the artist the most.
If you like Barbara’s sculptures, she has an online shop where you may buy some of them, as well as prints and paintings.
