Classical art is lovely to look at, but some of us find it difficult to relate to. Lothlenan, a Tumblr digital artist, is altering that by transforming some of fine art’s most timeless works into geeky fantasy settings. So far, they’ve reimagined seven tableaux, each inspired by a different fandom such as Sailor Moon, Adventure Time, or The Legend of Zelda. It’s interesting how combining Anime themes with century-old artwork gives them such a contemporary vibe!

If you’re a total geek and can’t get enough of these paintings, Lothlenon has a Redbubble shop where you can buy gorgeous reproductions of each design.

I liked the Hyacinthe Rigaud. But the “Scream” reminded me of Munch’s incredibly sad life. His whole family died in a short amount of time and the work he did was memorable but so sad… He did a masterpiece for Oslo University. This is a safe link for The Sun 1909 by Munch.
