Claudia Bueno is a Venezuelan artist who combines light, sculpture, and music. The artist developed a permanent piece called Pulse for Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart, and the complex forms and pulsing lights will hypnotize the visitors.
Claudia said in an interview that Pulse had taught her tenacity and determination. The artist spent three years conceiving, planning, creating, and installing the piece. This component took about eight months to finish. “My colleagues and I would paint elaborate designs all day long,” Claudia recalled.
Claudia Bueno just unveiled Pulse.
“It was incredibly satisfying to watch the forms evolve as we built up the layers,” Claudia remarked. “This work is brought to life and movement by a specially constructed lighting and sound system created by two artists specializing in these fields. Now that we are in Meow Wolf Vegas, we can see that everything we planned is functioning perfectly.”

Claudia stated she has been blending skills from her experience in painting, set design, and animation since art school and building methods that give her paintings a feeling of life. “I make things that move, shift, and pulse,” the artist added. “I’ve been perfecting this approach employed in ‘Pulse’ for almost six years. It is the result of many hours of studio experimentation.”
From concept to completion, the artist spent three years on the project.
Claudia has been making art installations her entire life. “I grew up around art since my mother was an artist. The artist recalls growing up in her workshop producing our own toys, puppets, masks, costumes, and whatever we could dream. I became a multimedia artist inspired to dream big and develop them here.
In her over 20 years of producing light displays, Claudia says she has evolved, using various materials and approaches. “I love creating enormous scale immersive experiences,” adds the artist.
