Fernando Abellanas, a plumber-turned-furniture designer, has created a studio that acrophobes would avoid. Abellanas built his office under a bridge in Valencia, Spain, and it mixes in wonderfully with the urban environment.
This under-bridge design includes a chair, a desk, and two shelves, which provide plenty of storage for a standard office. The designer utilizes a hand crank to convey the base to the furniture, which is affixed to the bridge’s concrete wall.
Abellanas is keeping the studio’s actual location a mystery. He told the Spaces, through Curbed, that “the project is a transitory intervention.” “[It will stay] until it is discovered and someone chooses to take the supplies, or until the authorities remove it.”
