Gaku’s work is inspired by a 16th-century practice known as mukimono, an essential aspect of Japanese and Thai cuisine. Not everyone can be a mukimono artist since the fruit changes colorfast after being sliced, necessitating extreme quickness. So, if peeling a carrot takes more than a minute, mukimono may not be for you.
