The passing of someone so admired, whose life was in the public sphere, make us sad. These deaths feel so personal because they resonate with us on a deeper, psychological level.
Stan Lee has died at the age of 95, he is the initiator of some of the best enduring characters and stories from Marvel comics.
Furthermore, an ambulance was dispatched to his home in California’s Hollywood Hills on Monday morning and later Lee died at the nearby Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Stan Lee started his career in the field of comics in 1939. Initially, he worked at Timely comics as an office assistant. However, his cousin in law who was Martin Goodman founded the publisher and finally transform into Marvel Comics in 1961.
Stan Lee worked as an editor 20 years ago, however, the best part in his career happened in 60’s. In the initial stage, he came up fantastic four as the Marvel comics, during that period comics was only popular among the young crowd. Luckily, he understood, how to reach the old crowd as well.
Lee started working with Jack Kirby during this period, Jack Kirby was the creator of Captain America 20 years ago. Kirby and Lee worked together to create Marvel’s most enduring characters like Fantastic Four, Hulk, the X-Men, and Spider-Man.

It was not only that Lee created these characters. Lee’s work also upended expectations in the field of the comic book. Lee, and from Marvel, he realized that superheroes were basically human, capable of all the same flaws and fears as anyone else. It’s a mindset that led to more human stories, but also one that unavoidably flirted with the political climate as well.
According to the post-civil right world, many have come across that the X-Men were an allegory for the racial tensions and widespread discrimination at the time.
Eventually, Kirby left Marvel for DC Comics, but Lee continues his work with a number of other collaborators over the years. When it’s come to a list of Marvel superheroes, Doctor Strange, Thor, Daredevil, Black Panther, Iron Man, Thor, and Ant-Man are few of them.
Lee was not only framed for one particular thing, therefore he eventually left the marvel behind to pursue other creative interests. However, he never gave up on his fans, therefore, he always had the contact trough videos recorded for the internet or convention appearances.
Lee’s also presumably not quite finished with his Marvel work. We will be seeing Lee again in some or all of Marvel’s 2019 movies slate: Captain Marvel, the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, and Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Most of the Marvel actors, writers, and fans shared well wishes and fond remembrances about Lee’s death.
There will never be another Stan Lee. For decades he provided both young and old with adventure, escape, comfort, confidence, inspiration, strength, friendship and joy. He exuded love and kindness and will leave an indelible mark on so, so, so many lives. Excelsior!!

He changed the way we look at heroes, and modern comics will always bear his indelible mark. His infectious enthusiasm reminded us why we all fell in love with these stories in the first place. Excelsior, Stan.
