Derry Moroney, an Australian photographer, has caught images of a rare “Tree of Life” phenomenon that developed on the receding Lake Cakora at Brooms Head, New South Wales, and the photos are breathtaking. According to the photographer, the phenomena arose after a large quantity of rain and bad weather broke the lake out and drained most of its water. A neighboring lake rich in tea tree oil and coffee rock spilled out into Lake Cakora simultaneously, generating this lovely tree scene.
Derry said in an interview that he began photographing three years ago and has been enthusiastic about it ever since. Nature and the way it can generate beautiful masterpieces from the elements, according to the photographer, inspires him. “I enjoy being able to see places from above that most people don’t,” Derry added. “I also love being able to share my way of viewing the globe with the rest of the world.”
