Pandas, the famous black & white bears are a truly amazing set of animals. They are fluffy, quirky, and playful even when they are fully grown up. Originally from China, people get to see these beautiful animals in zoos and other captivate institutes all over the world. But still, China remains to be the home for these creatures.
This is a story of a very peculiar type of Panda. The most significant feature of these animals is their color; black and white. And we almost never have heard of any other color combinations on them, until now. Meet this special Panda from all the way from China; Qizai. His specialty is that he is the only panda in the world, with the color combination of brown and white on his fur coat! Yes, the only case that is ever known. The Panda is currently 9 years old and living a happy & comfortable life in the Foping Panda Valley. But when he was found, he was neglected at the Qingling Mountain Nature Reserve which is located in Central China. This was due to his unusual fur coat, no panda would recognize him as one of their own species. Experts have named this phenomenon a genetic mutation since his parents were regular colored Pandas.
Anyhow, Qizai is now happy and healthy at his current home where he has a personal caretaker to look after him as well! The authorities of the reserve have plans to mate him pretty soon, in hopes of seeing more brown Pandas coming into the world. Until then, let’s keep our fingers crossed!
