The normal routine of most of us is to wake up in the morning, make some coffee, get ready to work and make your bed for the following evening. Well, the shocking news is, making your bed may not be the best idea.
Dr.Stephen Pretlove in his recent interview with BBC stated that leaving your bed unmade cuts down on the number of dust mites in your bed.
“It is commonly known that mites can only survive by absorbing water from the atmosphere using small glands situated outside their body”.
By just leaving the bed unmade during the daytime can remove most of the moisture from the bed sheets and mattress leaving the mites dehydrated which will end up killing them.
Lesser the dust mites, better it is for your health because dust mites will eventually lead to diseases such as asthma, allergies etc. Plus it is very uncomfortable to imagine sharing your bed with little bugs.
So explain this to your mom if she complains you for leaving your bed unmade. Pretty easy right?
