Liz Joy has over 10 years of expertise as an art director, sugar artist, and illustrator. However, the lady fell in love with baking and dessert design a few years ago and has been crafting magnificent pies that are almost too pretty to eat ever since!
Liz’s pies seem to be paintings or pictures at first glance, and it’s only when you look closer that you realize the wonderful crust that surrounds them. In a recent interview, the artist said that she enjoys experimenting with new media and materials. She likes the fact that pies enable her to work with several layers.

“I discovered they’re a unique medium for narrative once I began exploring design possibilities,” Liz explained. “I like the narrative part of my work and want to give the impression that the spectator is seeing into a unique gastronomic universe.”
