As you know, the modern world is more receptive to the LGBTQ+ communities in most parts. But for this to happen, for the people to support this movement, it came into the public eye more than a decade before. It was ridiculed and rejected at first and with the first few people who broke through the social norms made a very strong setting to the modern movement to up-rise.
Thomas Beatie made headlines internationally in 2008 by being the first transgender man to be pregnant. At the time, it was rather shocking news to the entire world with what Beatie had going on. He was also was a guest at an Oprah Winfrey episode on transgender issues and his pregnancy. The world only knew that you had to completely transform into another gender if you are transgender. But Beatie busted a lot of those myths by going public with his pregnancy.
He feels really lucky to be a dad and also give birth to his children at the same time.

He has successfully delivered three children. His wife, Nancy, and his family were super supportive to him during the process.

They got divorced in 2012. While he shared partial custody of his children with Nancy he got together with Amber Nicholas in 2016.

Now he happily spends his time working as a stockbroker and a public speaker at times. Beatie is so happy that he was a part of the early movement that lead to this revolution where the transgendered and the other odd communities are not odd anymore.Â
