#1 Horror films relieve tension
Our bodies reduce pain perception and boost mental attention. Then our mind is free of any ideas, and we are entirely relaxed. This reduces tension and anxiety. “High-arousal negative stimuli boost mood significantly,” stated Margee Kerr, a sociologist, to Time. A variety of neurotransmitters and hormones may have been produced throughout the experience.”
This is a terrific stress reliever for everyone, especially for stressed-out couples, since it rapidly dispels anxieties and lifts spirits.
#2 It weakens you
Vulnerability in a relationship is always good. While many of us despise being vulnerable, it is sometimes necessary. Exposure around your spouse improves communication. You may be more honest with them, discuss your emotions, and open up more to them.
And a scary movie is usually a great reason to sit with your companion and speak about the oddest stuff.
#3 Horror films may be romantic
Oh yes! Remember, scary movies are romantic. Beyond the obvious advantages, couples often watch horror movies for pleasure! And studies show that scary movies might increase romantic feelings. Sit closer to your companion and grip them tighter while the large man hunts his next victim with his knife. After all, everyone wins!
#4 Horror movies are an excellent reason to get near
One of the BEST reasons to enjoy scary movies, in my opinion. Closeness to your partner is both physical and mental. In the film, a serial murderer pursues an innocent couple. As you watch, naturally, you imagine yourself and your spouse in that circumstance. That you would be happier and closer to your loved one as a result of the process’s comedy, suspense, and excitement
#5 It exposes your fears
Not everyone enjoys watching scary movies with their loved ones. It helps you face your fears. It helps you and your spouse understand one another better. You get to see your partner’s good and bad sides. Not to mention seeing a scary movie on your first date. So you have much to discuss and an idea of the other person’s personality.
