On the 12th of June, Friday, People in San Jose, California, were visiting the supermarkets to buy essentials to celebrate their weekend at home. Therefore, the Yogurtland frozen yogurt shop was also crowded with customers.
At about 5.25 p.m. an old white woman who’s in her 60s came into the shop. Because she was wearing a gray bandanna, a striped long sleeved shirt, white pants, and a pair of tennis shoes, she seemed to be coming right after tennis practices.
This old lady was standing in the queue in front of a Hispanic mother and her 1-year-old son, who was in a cart. While she was observing this mom and her son she saw that this mom and son were not maintaining proper social distancing.
Without prior warning, the old lady removed her mask and coughed three times on this son’s face intentionally. The mom was shocked and took her son away from this old lady and called the police. But the old lady had already gone when police reached. The police didn’t forget to check the CCTV footage.
It clearly shows that this old lady is walking over to the baby’s stroller and coughing multiple times while standing over the little boy. But still, the San Jose police couldn’t detect this woman’s face properly.
Also, this mom reported to the police that this old woman might be a racist because this old woman started blaming this mom about her distance and harassed her and her son once she started speaking in Spanish to her grandma over the phone.
